Car And KRL Collision At Citayam-Depok Station Cross, Travel Is Hampered

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Railways (KAI) Commuter informed that there was an accident between a car and a KRL crossing Citayam Station to Depok Station this morning. Thus, the journey of passengers from Bogor to Jakarta this morning was hampered.

The car was hit by a train numbered KA 1077 which was traveling on the Bogor-Jakarta route at kilometer 34+4/5 between the two stations.

"Due to the tempering of the car, the KRL facility was damaged and could not continue the journey again," wrote a statement on the commuterline Instagram account, Wednesday, April 20.

Currently, officers are carrying out handling at the location so that the train can start running again. Meanwhile, KRL trips at the location are arranged alternately using one line that can still be passed by trains.

"Users who were on KA 1077 were evacuated in stages to trains destined for Manggarai and Jakarta Kota that passed at the location using one line, including using KA 1079 and KA 1661," he said.

Furthermore, KAI Commuter has also engineered the operation pattern of KRL trips to continue to serve users, namely KA 1054 for the Jakarta-Bogor connection, which only travels to Depok Station to return to KA 1097 for the Depok-Jakarta Kota connection.

With the process of evacuating users, handling KRL facilities, and evacuating cars attached to trains, KAI Commuter stated that KRL trips on the Bogor - Depok PP route will have an impact on travel time and waiting time at the station.

"We urge users who are still waiting at the station to be patient and not to force themselves to get on the KRL that has been filled according to the provisions. Always prioritize safety and health in using the KRL," he said.
