MAKASSAR - The Mayor of Makassar, South Sulawesi, Moh Ramdhan Pomanto immediately appointed Acting Kasatpol PP, following the local Kasatpol PP, quoted from Era, Iqbal Asnan was arrested by the police for being involved in a premeditated murder case. He said he would not comment much on the arrest of Makassar Police Chief Iqbal Asnan. He left the handling entirely to the police. "While we are waiting for the officers to work, I will communicate with city government officials to appoint a temporary official to replace the position of Kasatpol PP Iqbal Asnan. Monday (18/4) we will announce who will be the leader," said Moh Ramdhan Pomanto, Mayor of Makassar. Kasatpol PP Makassar Iqbal Asnan was arrested at his residence on Jalan Muh Tahir, Makassar City, Saturday (16/4). Iqbal Asnan was arrested for allegedly being involved in the murder of Makassar Transportation Agency employee, Najamuddin Sewang, last Sunday (3/4). This arrest was made because before serving as Kasatpol PP Makassar, Iqbal Asnan had occupied the seat of Plt Dishub Makassar. Iqbal was secured by a special team formed by the South Sulawesi Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Nana Sudjana. Iqbal Asnan is currently still undergoing examination at the Makassar Police Headquarters. Still in the investigation stage. Watch the video below.
