KENDARI - The mayor of Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Sulkarnain Kadir, asked the police to take firm action against the perpetrators of the burglary who terrorized several residents in the area.

"We have coordinated with the police so that action is taken firmly because we don't want our city to be filled with an alarming and tense atmosphere, we don't want it like that", said Sulkarnain in Kendari, as reported by Antara, Monday, April 18.

He did not expect the area to be disturbed by criminal acts that interfere with people's activities in carrying out their daily lives.

"Strict action is taken to teach lessons so that no one tries to intimidate or create an atmosphere of insecurity in our beloved city", said the mayor.

He appealed to young people in this area not to be easily influenced by invitations, let alone commit crimes.

"I don't think there is a single citizen who supports it. Therefore, we hope that our young generation will not be involved in criminal activities because this is not good for the future, but also not good for our region", he said.

He appreciated the quick action of the police because they had uncovered several perpetrators of burglary carried out by unknown people.

"But thank God, I saw that the police were alert because almost all incidents did not take long to handle", he said.

Previously, acts of burglary by unknown persons (OTK) occurred several times in Kendari City, one of which was on Tuesday, March 22 in the Kendari Beach (Kebi) area. where the bow hit the victim's neck a man named Ilyas (29) so was rushed to the hospital for surgery.

A day later, on March 23, 2022, a similar action took place again in the Kambu area, Anduonohu.

The last act of bowing occurred on April 5, 2022, when a child with a bow pierced the right arm of the victim, who was a woman.

The victim was bowed by an unknown person while crossing the Kemaraya Basketball Court, Lahundape Village, West Kendari District, Kendari City.

"Yes, that's right, the victim's family has been directed to report it", said Kemaraya Police Sector Chief, Iptu Marvi Oksiriana Chakti, when contacted by telephone.

He said the police were currently checking CCTV around the crime scene (TKP) to immediately identify the perpetrators.

"Please pray that it will soon be revealed who the perpetrators of the arcing are", he said.
