JAKARTA - The Kulon Progo Regency Government, Yogyakarta, forbids state civil servants (ASN) in these government agencies from using their official vehicles for the purpose of going home for Eid later.

The Regent of Kulon Progo Sutedjo in Yogyakarta, said the ban was in accordance with the instructions of the central government through a circular (SE) issued by the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo.

"We are adjusting the central government's policy. We don't want this regional policy to conflict with the center. If it is forbidden, it must be obeyed, don't violate it," said Sutedjo, Saturday, April 16, quoted from Antara.

SE Kemenpan RB Number 13 of 2022 concerning Leave for State Civil Servants During the National Holiday Period and Joint Leave for Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah, one of the points, prohibits ASN from using official vehicles for homecoming trips.

Sutedjo said the number of ASN from outside Kulon Progo was not large and officials who got official cars already had private vehicles. Thus, he believes that the potential for ASN who uses official cars for going home is very small.

"We are not worried because officials who get official cars already have private cars. However, we appeal to officials to comply with the prohibition set by the center," he stressed.

If it is found that ASN is proven to have violated the prohibition, he said sanctions will be given in the form of a warning, both verbally and in writing.

"The reprimand, both oral and written, will be recorded in the relevant employment document," he said.
