H-17 Lebaran 2022, COVID-19 Indonesia Adds 922 Cases, 26 People Died

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest data on the development of positive cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia on H-17 Lebaran 2022. Of the 107,605 specimens examined today, 922 new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,038,664 people and active cases have fallen by 1,379 to 62,665 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, April 15.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,275 people, bringing the total recovered patients since the first case was announced to 5,820,179 people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 26 cases and a total of 155,820 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 310 cases and a total of 1,245,265 cases. Followed by West Java which has 201 new cases with a total of 1,103,864 cases. Central Java has 80 new cases and a total of 626,259 cases. Banten has 67 new cases and a total of 291,647 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 611 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 600 recovered cases, DI Yogyakarta with an additional 192 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 289 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 93,833,067.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 2.37 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 3,108 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, there are currently 198,012,119 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 162,372,110 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 29,687,453. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
