AGAM - The Social Service of Agam Regency, West Sumatra noted that 24,165 beneficiary families (KPM) in the area received direct cash assistance (BLT) for cooking oil from the central government.

"The 24,165 KPMs are spread across 16 sub-districts in Agam," said Head of the Agam Social Service Rahmi Artati in Lubukbasung, Thursday, April 14.

He said KPM received Rp. 300,000 per person for three months or Rp. 100,000 per month.

They also get Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPMT) of Rp. 200 thousand per KPM for one month.

"The recipients of the cooking oil BLT and BPMT are the same and the disbursement is carried out simultaneously," he said, quoted by Antara.

He added that the BLT for cooking oil and BPMT had begun to be disbursed by PT Pos Indonesia on Wednesday (13/4).

However, his party does not have a definite schedule for disbursing the funds, because it is directly managed by PT Pos Indonesia.

"We don't know the schedule for disbursing BLT cooking oil and BPMT. Hopefully the disbursement goes well," he said.

The aid is in order to ease the burden on the community amid the spike in cooking oil prices in Agam and the rising prices of other basic necessities.

"Hopefully this assistance can ease the burden on the community when prices rise," he said.
