BANDA ACEH - Personnel from the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Aceh Police found as much as 1,500 liters of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) stockpiled in a warehouse in Aceh Besar District.

Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Aceh Police Kombes Sony Sonjaya said the discovery began with an investigation into the existence of minibuses filling fuel with fake police numbers.

"The minibus was driven by a person with the initials MH (30) using a fake police number, thereby raising the suspicion of officers," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 13.

Then officers checked the car and found the fuel tank had been changed or modified. The Toyota Reborn minibus transports subsidized fuel without a permit, he said.

After developing the information, he explained, officers found a warehouse in Lambaboh Village, Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar District, which contained 1,500 liters of subsidized fuel stored in a fiber tank.

It is suspected that the oil belonged to SP, which is a member of the TNI. Currently, evidence in the form of a Toyota Reborn minibus along with subsidized fuel has been secured. Officers also checked the driver and the owner of the fuel.

"We affirm our commitment to take action against anyone who without a permit transports and stores subsidized fuel oil," he said.
