GUNUNG KIDUL - Transportation of passengers and bus crews from the Maju Lancar Autobus Company (PO), Rosalia Indah Pool, and Semin Terminal in Gunung Kidul undergo a ram check or inspection of the feasibility of transporting passengers and bus crews for Lebaran 2022.

The feasibility test was carried out by the Gunung Kidul Transportation Service (Dishub) together with the local Resort Police.

"This activity is to ensure the condition of the fleet to the driver," said Motor Vehicle Examiner from the Gunung Kidul Transportation Agency, Reza Pahlevi at the location, Wednesday, April 13.

According to him, ram checks for passenger transport and bus crews are expected to provide education to drivers, especially those with no experience, to ensure the condition of buses and other equipment before leaving for their destination.

"Drivers need to be thoroughly educated regarding road conditions. Including the use of brakes and so on to ensure safety during the trip," he said, as reported by Antara.

Reza asked the PO manager to routinely check the vehicle. Checks can be carried out thoroughly in the testing building belonging to the Gunung Kidul Transportation Agency. Testing needs to be done every six months.

"The proof of the test results will be a guide for the driver as long as the vehicle is used. As long as the KIR test validity period is still active, the vehicle is ensured to be safe," said Reza

Meanwhile, Traffic Controller at Dhaksinarga Wonosari Gunung Kidul Terminal, Aris Farwanto, said his party was starting to prepare for the 2022 Eid homecoming, including ensuring the feasibility of vehicles and terminal facilities.

"We are monitoring the vaccine certificates for prospective passengers. According to government policy, travelers must have received a booster if they want to travel without having to test for COVID-19 first. We are coordinating with PO managers to prepare for this homecoming," he said.
