YOGYAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff (Staffsus) Angkie Yudistia hopes that the Provincial Government of Yogyakarta (DIY) will pay more attention to the development of MSMEs owned by people with disabilities. According to him, if realized economic benefits will be inclusive.

This was said by Angkie after meeting the Deputy Governor of Yogyakarta, Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Aryo (KGPAA) Paku Alam X in Yogyakarta, Wednesday, April 13.

"Advancing MSMEs run by persons with disabilities is one of the concrete steps to facilitate the improvement of the abilities of persons with disabilities, namely providing access for persons with disabilities to become entrepreneurs," he said.

Angkie explained that an inclusive economy is a priority to be realized. This has been regulated in Government Regulation Number 70 of 2019 which regulates the Master Plan for Persons with Disabilities (RIPD).

He appreciated the steps taken by the Ministry of SOEs as one of the people in charge of achieving implementation targets through the establishment of an SOE ecosystem that accelerates the realization of an inclusive economy by creating benefits for people with disabilities to be independent in the economic sector.

"In particular, I would like to thank the Ministry of SOEs through its ecosystem which has helped create an inclusive economy, especially for people with disabilities, as one of the concrete steps of the Inclusive Indonesia Synergy Movement that was initiated," he said, as reported by Antara.

Angkie hopes that through various programs initiated by the BUMN ecosystem such as community service training, administrative training and entrepreneurship training, it can provide opportunities for people with disabilities to improve their abilities.

"I appreciate the initiatives of various trainings, internships, and entrepreneurship support carried out by the SOE ecosystem, namely Bank Mandiri and BRI which are currently being carried out in Yogyakarta, with more than 200 people with disabilities and it is hoped that this will be a pilot moment for several multi-sectors to realize disability independence in the sector. economy," he said.

In addition to discussing the inclusive economy, Angkie also invited the DIY Provincial Government to work together to collect data for persons with disabilities so that they have population documents and can access public facilities.

"Alhamdulillah, the Yogyakarta Provincial Government welcomes the positive synergy with each other, the first is to collect data on persons with disabilities. Population documents are a basic right for persons with disabilities, so they can access all public services in various sectors, namely health services, social assistance, education, various program incentives. business, national economic recovery programs, as well as other government and private programs," he said.
