"There is no good food in this Minangkabau (West Sumatra) land, there is only very good food," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin quoted from Antara. "West Sumatran cuisine is a strength to fulfill the role of culinary tourism today. I ask that the establishment of a halal, safe and healthy culinary zone will further increase tourism," he said. "With the halal label, it becomes a protection for Muslims around the world so that Indonesian products including Minang cuisine can later be accepted abroad," he said.
