JAKARTA - The political campaign strategy institute, Point Indonesia, has released the results of a national survey of the 2024 Presidential Candidates for Public Choice. From the survey results, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, emerged as a figure who was considered capable of responding to the challenge.

"Referring to the results of the National Survey of 5 Presidential Candidates for Public Choice, Sandiaga Uno is still a figure who is fully committed to economic recovery, one of which is utilizing tourism sector policies and the creative economy as a catalyst for national economic recovery," said Senior Point Indonesia researcher Usmar, quoted in a written statement, Monday 11 April.

"Sandiaga Uno has a deeper position in economic issues because of his role in creating pro-entrepreneurship policies, as well as creating job opportunities," he continued.

Point Indonesia conducted a survey on March 11-22 2022 using the Multistage Random Sampling method with a proportional distribution of samples in 34 provinces. The number of sampling is 1,916 respondents with a margin of error of plus minus 2.24%.

In the Point Indonesia national survey, Prabowo Subianto's name emerged as the most popular candidate for President of the Republic of Indonesia with a percentage of 28%. Other presidential candidates who are also ranked in the top 5 include Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo 24.1%, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno 21.7%, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan 10.3%, and West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil 7.2%.

The survey also examines a number of other issues that will be of public concern in the upcoming elections, such as employment and unemployment, rising prices of basic necessities, and economic growth.

In the simulation of 5 candidates in this survey, the most popular name is the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, with 28 percent. Then followed the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo with a figure of 24.1 percent.

Anies himself is below Sandiaga with only half the figure, which is 10.3 percent. Then the last one is the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil with a figure of 7.2 percent.

The survey was conducted from 11 to 22 March 2022 using the Multistage Random Sampling method with a proportional distribution in 34 provinces. The number of sampling is 1,916 respondents and the margin of error is approximately 2.24 percent.

According to this survey, Sandiaga is considered one of the popular and well-liked figures so that it becomes a regular conversation.

"Indonesians want to see him run for President and believe he is a worthy candidate," said Usma, a senior researcher at Point Indonesia.

You could say this is a surprise when you compare the results of several other survey institutions. Last year, Chartapolitika conducted a survey on March 20-24 2021. This institution noted that Prabowo's electability was in the top position as a presidential candidate in 2024.
