JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD asked the University of Indonesia (UI) lecturer gangster Ade Armando to surrender.

Ade Armando, who was present at the demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR building on Monday, April 11, was attacked by an unknown person. As a result, he was injured and had to undergo treatment at the hospital.

"I have coordinated with the National Police that the perpetrators have been identified and asked to surrender or they will be arrested if they do not surrender," said Mahfud in a video caption that was shown on the YouTube of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Tuesday, April 12.

Mahfud said he had asked the police to take firm action against whoever did it. Moreover, this persecution was carried out brutally.

The former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) said firm action must be taken. "I ask (the police, ed) that whoever did it, regardless of political affiliation, should be dealt with firmly by law," said Mahfud.

"Because if we tolerate things like this, it will be dangerous for the survival of our country," he added.

According to Mahfud, it is not difficult for the police to arrest the perpetrators who did not surrender. Because, there are many tools that can be used to find out who the perpetrators are.

"Whether it's a drone, whether it uses CCTV in various angles, it can already be identified with no difficulty who is involved in the criminal act," he said.

As previously reported, Ade Armando appeared to have suffered injuries to his face as a result of being punched by a group of people during a student mass action in front of the DPR Building on Monday, April 11 afternoon. At that time, this social media activist was here because he supported the action and at the same time took pictures for content needs.

In the video circulating, he can be seen rushing to be embraced by the police into the gates of the DPR to be secured from beatings. Ade's pants were also taken off.

The current condition of the lecturer who is also a social media activist is being treated at the hospital. Ade suffered a concussion, which was thought to be the result of a hard blow he received.

In addition, his nose is also being examined by a doctor because he complained of pain in that part.
