COVID-19 Update As Of April 11: 1,196 New Cases, 69,849 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 129,600 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 1,196 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,033,903 and active cases have fallen by 2,830 to 69,849 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, April 11.

Today's recovered cases increased by 3,978 people, bringing the total to 5,808,380 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 48 cases and a total of 155,674 people.

The province with the newest cases was West Java with 340 cases and a total of 1,102,888 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 312 new cases with a total of 1,243,829 cases. Central Java has 126 new cases and a total of 625,819 cases. Banten has 93 new cases and a total of 291,216 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 757 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 655 recovered cases, North Kalimantan with an additional 626 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 412 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 93,301,127.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 2.37 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 3,513 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, there are currently 197,540,332 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 161,533,989 vaccinations for the second dose. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 27,291,778. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
