Deputy Governor Of DKI Says Formula E Circuit Paving Is Finished In A Week

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria reviewed the process of building the Formula E circuit in the Ancol area, North Jakarta.

At the location, Riza said the process of paving the circuit would be completed in one week. Currently, the second layer of asphalt is being worked on.

"I'm visiting the FE circuit, which is one week away from being paved," Riza said in a video uploaded to the Arizapatria Instagram account, Thursday, April 7.

Riza said the construction of the grand stand and landscape of the circuit area will be completed on April 28, 2022. Then, the installation of the spectator stands will be carried out after the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"God willing, the preparations have been very good. Let's support and pray that this circuit, which is made permanently, can be completed on time and meet the required standards," said Riza.

Meanwhile, Operations Manager for Formula E Jakarta, Nuno Fernandez, claimed that the construction of the Formula E circuit in Jakarta was the fastest compared to Formula E events in other countries.

"This circuit project is, to date, the fastest built in the world with a permanent track just 60 days from the start of construction," he said.

As previously reported, the entire construction of the Formula E circuit and other facilities is targeted to be completed in early May. Based on information from PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), the construction of the circuit has been delayed a few days due to weather problems. The construction of the circuit itself began on February 3, 2022. The shape of the Formula E track is said to be similar to a lumping horse. Then, the location of the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit has 18 bends, 600 meters of straight track, clockwise direction, and 2.4 kilometers of track length. E.
