BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto held an impromptu inspection of the largest cooking oil depot in his area, PD Taman Cimanggu, to ensure the availability of the staple, which is currently in short supply, on Thursday.

Bima Arya in the depot located on Jalan Raya Cimanggu, Kedungwaringin Village, Tanah Sareal District, entered the bulk cooking oil purchasing service room where there were long queues until he saw the warehouse filling the jerry cans of the buyers.

"So Mr. Rusly, this is the largest bulk oil depot in Bogor, right now, I'm checking here, indeed the main problem is the production from Jakarta," Bima Arya told reporters at the inspection site.

He was accompanied by the owner of the cooking oil depot, Gunarso Rusly, and the Head of the Cooperative, UMKM, Industry and Trade Service (DiskopUMKMdagin) Ganjar Gunawan, exploring the rooms one by one to ensure the flow of purchasing and storing the basic ingredients.

Bima saw the queue of buyers in the outside area, entering the service room and temporary storage warehouse. It was found that the stock of cooking oil sent from bulk cooking oil producers was indeed limited, so that agents or depots also limited resale to traders or food producers.

Bima also took the time to talk to the buyers of cooking oil, who were mostly traders in stalls, shops and dry food producers.

PD. Taman Cimanggu requires buyers to include an identity card (KTP), then a Trade Business Permit (SIUP) or a business certificate for food producers.

This is because the owner of the cooking oil depot, Gunarso Rusly, conveyed that the requirements were in accordance with the regulations from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) so that there would be no misuse of the cooking oil distribution.

"It is sold for Rp. 14,500 for a small party, for a large party it can be even cheaper," said Bima.
