Barbed Wire, Water Canon Up To 600 Police Descend To Secure Munarman's Judgment Trial At The East Jakarta District Court

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police deployed 600 joint personnel to secure the trial for reading the verdict against the defendant in the alleged terrorism case Munarman at the East Jakarta District Court.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Budi Sartono said his party had also installed barbed wire in front of the East Jakarta District Court (PN) to anticipate the crowds.

"The strength of 600 joint troops, both from Polda Metro Jaya, Brimob, Polres Metro East Jakarta, Satpol PP and also assistance from TNI colleagues," said Budi Sartono in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 6.

Judging from Antara, the police officers also prepared a "water canon" car to anticipate the occurrence of mass riots in the East Jakarta District Court.

Budi explained that until this afternoon there had been no information on any mass movement that wanted to come to the East Jakarta District Court during the Munarman verdict trial.
