13 RTs In Jakarta Submerged By Floods Of Up To 1 Meter

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that 13 RTs in the capital city were flooded after it rained.

"There are currently 13 RTs out of 30,470 RTs in DKI Jakarta," said Head of the DKI BPBD Data and Information Center Insaf in his statement, Tuesday, April 5.

In detail, there were 5 RTs in West Jakarta that were flooded, namely 1 RT in Duri Kepa Village with a height of up to 50 centimeters, 1 RT in Kembangan Village with a height of up to 40 centimeters.

Then, 1 RT in Rawa Buaya Village with a height of up to 40 centimeters, and 2 RT in Duri Kosambi Village with a height of up to 1.1 meters.

"The cause of inundation in West Jakarta is due to high rainfall," said Insaf.

Then, there were 7 RTs that were flooded in East Jakarta. The details are 1 RT in Lubang Buaya Village with a height of up to 50 centimeters, 5 RT in Cipinang Melayu Village with a height of up to 80 centimeters.

Furthermore, 1 RT in Cipinang Muara Village with a height of up to 80 centimeters. There were 10 residents of Cipinang Muara who took refuge in the car park area of RT 013.

There was also flooding in North Jakarta, namely 1 RT in Kelapa Gading Barat Village with a height of 50 centimeters.

"The cause of inundation in East Jakarta and North Jakarta is due to high rainfall and the overflow of the Sunter River," said Insaf.
