JAKARTA - Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) has asked that the recommendation for the dismissal of former Indonesian Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto, from membership of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) be resolved amicably.

"We ask for the resolution of differences of opinion that exist internally with a family and dignified approach as soon as possible", said Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission IX Session, Nihayatul Wafiroh, in a DPR Hearing Meeting which was broadcast live from the DPR RI YouTube and followed from Jakarta, Monday, April 4.

His party asked the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association to be open to organizational improvements, especially related to supervision and accountability according to the needs of doctors and the community for the sake of increasing the degree of the Indonesian people.

Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Doctors Association, Adib Khumaidi, said matters relating to the execution of the IDI congress provisions were resolved internally because IDI was a "big house" for all members.

"IDI is the 'big house' for all members. Of course, all of them proactively register as members. Anyone will get space to become a member again. The forum will exist internally", he said.

He explained that IDI will continue to rely on aspects of organizational rules regulated in the articles of association/by-laws (AD/ART) as well as organizational management.

"There is AD/ART, organizational management that must be our foothold and there are congressional decisions that we must complete", he said.
