JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police assesses that the enthusiasm of West Jakarta residents to take part in the mass vaccination program, especially the third dose or booster, is getting higher, after the government set it as a condition for traveling out of town.
"Enthusiasm is high, when the government provides concessions for people who will go home with the condition that the vaccine is 'booster'," said Director of Binmas Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Pol Badya Wijaya in a press release in Jakarta, Monday, April 4.
Evidently, said Badya, residents were very busy when they participated in the booster vaccination program at the Jami Halimatul Huda Mosque, Kalideres, West Jakarta, Sunday (3/4).
Badya said that before holding the vaccination activity, his party performed the Tarawih Prayer together with the residents. After the worship was finished, his party immediately opened the vaccine booth.
It was recorded that 500 doses of the vaccine ran out in one night of the mass vaccination event.
"This indicates that people's awareness of the importance of body immunity has increased," Badya said as quoted by Antara.
Badya hopes that this program can help the central government accelerate the distribution of the third dose of vaccine.
His party also ensured that they would hold similar activities in other locations in order to reach residents who have difficulty accessing vaccines.
