JAKARTA - Hundreds of souvenir and culinary stalls in the Monas area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (31/3) morning, burned down. The fire is thought to have started from an electrical short circuit. A total of 166 souvenir stalls and 6 culinary stalls caught fire. Flammable items caused the fire to quickly spread to other stalls. A number of officers from the Central Jakarta damkar sub-dept. arrived at the location and immediately extinguished the fire so it wouldn't spread further.
