BANYUMAS - The Regent of Banyumas, Achmad Husein said the COVID-19 indicators in his area were improving. He asked Banyumas to immediately implement 100 percent face-to-face learning (PTM).

"After the latest Inmendagri (Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs) was lowered, approximately April 4, and Banyumas was declared to have dropped to level 1," he said in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Wednesday, March 30, as reported by Antara.

However, he said the Banyumas Regency Government through the local Education Office is currently preparing to immediately return to implementing 100 percent PTM.

According to him, this is because Banyumas has entered Level 1 of the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) version of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC-PEN).

"However, for certainty, we are still waiting for the issuance of the latest Minister of Home Affairs. According to Inmendagri Number 18 of 2022 which takes effect from March 22 to April 4, 2022, Banyumas implements PPKM level 2 so that the PTM is still 50 percent," said the Regent.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Banyumas District Health Office, Sadiyanto, admitted that based on the assessment conducted by KPC-PEN, of the eight indicators used to determine the PPKM level, all of them indicated that Banyumas had entered level 1 as of 27 March 2022.

According to him, the eight indicators include confirmed cases showing 9.19 people per 100 thousand inhabitants per week, hospitalization at 4.13 people per 100 thousand inhabitants per week, and 0.70 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants. per week.

"For the three indicators of community transmission, Banyumas is categorized as level 1," he said.

Furthermore, for the three indicators related to response capacity, he said, Banyumas was adequate because in terms of testing, especially the positivity rate was recorded at 4.20 percent per week, tracing, especially the close contact ratio of 14.59 people per confirmed case per week, and related to hospital bed occupancy rate (BOR) of 12.84 percent per week.

As for the two indicators related to vaccination, Banyumas is also included in the adequate category because for complete vaccination it reaches 84.54 percent and complete vaccination for the elderly (elderly) reaches 66.15 percent.

"If this can be maintained until next week, God willing, Banyumas will go down to level 1 based on the latest Ministry of Home Affairs. Moreover, the COVID-19 case in Banyumas continues to slope," said Sadiyanto.

On a separate occasion, the Head of the Banyumas Regency Education Office, Irawati, said that his party had not made special preparations because Banyumas had previously carried out 100 percent PTM.

Thus, when the Banyumas Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force permits the implementation of 100 percent PTM, it remains only to make circulars to schools.

"Obviously we still remind schools to pay close attention to the provisions relating to health protocols. This is because basically, they have already implemented 100 percent PTM in January 2022, so in principle the school is ready and very much looking forward to it," he said.

According to him, the change from 100 percent PTM to 50 percent PTM was carried out because Banyumas entered Level 3 PPKM in line with the increase in COVID-19 cases.

However, he admitted that there are several schools that continue to implement 100 percent PTM because the number of students is very small, so it is not possible to hold 50 percent PTM.

This happens in elementary schools located in remote areas where it is not possible to combine them with other schools, so they continue to carry out 100 percent PTM.

"There are indeed SD (elementary schools) where the number of students in one class is only 10 children, even 7 children, so we are not too strict to prohibit the implementation of PTM 100 percent. That's because with 10 children, while the classroom capacity is for 20 children, it's already 50 percent," he said.
