JAKARTA - Public satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in March 2022 has decreased significantly compared to last February. This is based on the findings of a survey conducted by the Indonesian Political Opinion (IPO) agency.

"There has been a significant decline compared to the survey in February 2022," said IPO Executive Director, Dedi Kurnia Syah Putra, Monday, March 28.

The IPO noted that the public who expressed satisfaction with President Jokowi's performance were 43 percent. Meanwhile, those who stated that they were very satisfied were only 6 percent.

"If accumulated, public satisfaction with the president's performance is 49 percent," said Dedi.

On the other hand, the public who expressed dissatisfaction with the president's performance were 41 percent, while those who said they were very dissatisfied were 10 percent.

If it is accumulated, said Dedi, the public who are dissatisfied with the president's performance is 51 percent.

Allegedly, the decrease in satisfaction with the president's performance is due to the scarcity and recent spike in cooking oil prices.

"It is possible that the decline in the satisfaction rate is related to the momentum of scarcity and the sharp increase in the price of basic necessities such as cooking oil," said Dedi.

This survey was conducted in the period 11-17 March 2022. Meanwhile, the number of respondents was 1,220 who were taken randomly.

This method has a measurement error (margin of error) of 2.90 percent, with a data accuracy rate of 95 percent. Sampling setting using multistage random sampling (MRS) technique, or stratified sampling.
