KSP Urges Ministry Of Finance And LKPP To Improve Shopping Supervision Repress Imports

JAKARTA - The Presidential Staff Office encourages the Ministry of Finance and the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) to further increase supervision on the realization of goods and services spending in all government agencies in order to suppress imports. He explained that actually many MSMEs in Indonesia are able to meet the spending needs of K/L and SOEs. However, it needs adjustments so that the products of domestic cooperatives and MSMEs can be in line with the needs and demands of government agencies as users, he said.

Therefore, he hopes that every K/L, regional government, BUMN, and Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) can be smart in finding, selecting, and sorting products made by the nation's children. " he said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises and other stakeholders must increase the capacity and quality of MSME production, so that they can meet market demands, namely users of goods and also have competitive prices.

He reminded market players not to have to buy at a much higher price, compared to imports with inadequate quality and uncertain supply availability.
