Local Drum Musical Instruments Feel Like Imported Products Thanks To Ganjar

JAKARTA - Who says quality drums are only made in foreign countries? The quality of local drum products from Central Java can compete with imported drums.

The AD's Custom Drums brand drum made by Adi Nugroho, a resident of Sanggrahan street RT 2 RW 2, Lodoyong Village, Ambarawa, is made from local but foreign flavors. This product began to be known thanks to Ganjar.

Adi started his drum production business since the COVID-19 pandemic hit two years ago. He did that, because the turnover of handmade crafts made of wood, which he had previously lived, experienced a decline in demand.

It was not an easy thing for him to market the thumping musical instrument to the market. Until finally, he joined Ganjar, an event to promote SMEs through the instastory of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo.

“I started this business two years ago because of the pandemic. At that time, I had the idea of a custom drum. Previously, no one knew him, so I looked at Ganjar's Instagram, I tried to join," said Adi monitored from the official website of the Central Java Provincial Government, Sunday, March 27.

After that, his followers grew day by day, and his products became more widely known. In fact, Adi began to get orders, both from local and outside Central Java.

“Followers are up, orders are increasing. There are orders from here locally, there are also Jambi and Tangerang," he explained.

Not only that, but Ganjar also opened a business network of fellow musical instrument products from various regions.

“I also get to know each other from Ganjar, a percussionist. So that they can contact each other if there is an order. It's mutually beneficial," he added.

From Lapak Ganjar's effect, Adi is trying to improve the quality of his products. Currently, the products can be seen on the Instagram account @ads.customdrums. Prices start at IDR 1.5 million per item, or IDR 15 million per set.

“I finally started trying to improve the quality of the product. I dare to compete, it has local ingredients but foreign flavors. It can be a costume model, size, sound, and others," he said.

According to Adi, Ganjar is very helpful for SMEs who are just starting out and developing businesses.
