CCTV footage of the victim's movements before being found dead covered in blood in a luxury apartment

JAKARTA – The Kelapa Gading Sector Police have checked the CCTV footage installed in the P5 parking lot of the Grand Emerald Pegangsaan II Apartment, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. CCTV inspection related to the discovery of the body of a man with the initials EJZ (36), in a Daihatsu Xenia car covered in blood.

Based on the CCTV footage, the victim before being found dead was seen pacing the P5 parking area of the apartment. Before finally being found dead by his wife KAL (32), EJZ was seen several times heading to the right and left corners of the parking area, as if he was confused.

In the 1.15 second video, the victim is seen holding a small package which is suspected to contain cyanide.

"From the CCTV footage, we found the victim came to the lobby to take a package the size of a hand. When parking at P5, the victim was seen getting out of the car and going south," Rio told reporters, Thursday, March 24.

Police officers who conducted the TKP (the crime scene) found the package that was thrown away by the victim.

"After we checked the P5A parking lot, the victim dumped suspicious items containing sodium cyanide. According to the CCTV image, the victim threw something in the P5A parking lot," explained Rio.

However, Rio was not sure what the cyanide was for, although in the end, the victim threw the item back. What is certain, said Rio, is that his party has examined five witnesses related to this case.

"We are still investigating this case. There are as many as five witnesses we have questioned," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a body was found in a Daihatsu Xenia car in the P5 parking lot of the Grand Emerald Apartment, Pegangsaan II, Kelapa Gading, Wednesday, March 23, at around 21.00 WIB. When found, the body was covered in blood and locked from inside the car.

The witness, known as the victim's wife, saw her husband motionless in the car. With his body covered in blood, the victim with the initials EJZ (32) sat in the middle seat behind the wheel.

"After we came to the TKP (the crime scene) we found the victim's condition was lifeless with a sitting position in the middle position behind the driver in the Daihatsu Xenia car with the condition of the front left glass shattered." said Kompol Rio in a written statement, Thursday, March 24.

Rio explained that at that time the victim's wife called the apartment security.

“We received information that when they were found, the victim was in a locked position from the inside. And the car keys are on the left of the victim. Then a knife which was allegedly used to stab the victim's neck was also found with a wound approximately 3-5cm long across the middle of the neck." Rio explained.

Based on the testimony of witnesses at the location, because the car was locked, the security forces tried to open the car by breaking the left front window.
