JAKARTA - The 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) plans to hold a demonstration 'Defend Islam 2503' on Friday, March 25 tomorrow. This demonstration demanded that several names such as Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Pastor Saifuddin to Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda are imprisoned.

The name, according to PA 212, has committed blasphemy against religion. Through his Instagram account, Permadi Arya or Abu Janda responded to PA 212's plan. According to him, the blasphemy article that was used as the basis for PA 212 was used as a tool to persecute political opponents.

Because, how could a Minister of Religion, Yaqut, who grew up in the Islamic boarding school and has a lineage of NU clerics commit blasphemy against his own religion?

"It has been verified that the minister of religion @gusyaqut is not a Muslim, son of an NU cleric, graduated from a boarding school, now serving as minister of religion.. he is considered to be insulting Islam, his own religion, why is that? because the article on blasphemy is a weapon for the persecution of his political opponents", explained Abu Janda as reported by Instagram @permadiarya2, Thursday, March 24.

According to him, one of the victims of this article is Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok. Abu Janda did not want the same thing to happen to anyone.

"It's enough for Ahok to become a vicious victim of the politicization of the blasphemy article... NOTHING AGAIN", he said.

The PA 212 demonstration will be held in front of the State Palace, Central Jakarta. The general chairman of PA 212, Slamet Maarif, stated that the demands of this demonstration are the imprisonment of Minister of Religion, Yaqut, Pastor Saifuddin including Abu Janda who was accused of blasphemy against religion.

Slamet claims that thousands of people will participate in this action. He asked all participants of the action to be disciplined in implementing strict health protocols.
