When The Iswahjudi Air Base SAR Team Evacuated The F-16 Fighting Falcon Pilot Who Ejected

JAKARTA - F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots from Air Squadron 3 suddenly experienced problems in the air. The pilot was forced to perform Eject.

A moment later the SAR team of Iswahjudi Air Base immediately moved quickly to find the location of the plane crash according to the coordinates provided. They then evacuated the pilot to immediately get further assistance.

Please calm down, this is not a real event. This is the 2022 Swift Eagle Exercise to test your skills and mastery of the basics in search and rescue through the Search and Rescue Exercise, Wednesday 23 March.

Reporting from the TNI AU website, through this exercise, it can be seen the readiness and skills of the Iswahjudi Airbase SAR Team regarding speed and dexterity, especially in handling eject pilots. All in anticipation of things like plane crashes in the practice area.

This exercise is also to increase cooperation between elements involved in the SAR, be it the Heli crew on standby for SAR, the Health Team, Pam, Pom, and the SAR Team itself.

The exercise also fielded Sukhoi Su-27/30 fighters from the 14th Air Squadron, F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters from the 3rd Air Squadron, and T-50i Golden Eagle fighters from the 15th Air Squadron and the Super Puma H-3213 Helicopter aircraft from the 6th Squadron Air.

This exercise is divided into two training categories, namely Air Maneuver (air maneuver) and Ground Maneuver (ground maneuver). During the Air Maneuver, a number of Air Operations missions to targets will be carried out simultaneously using Large Force Employment (LFE) with the target of destroying strategically valuable enemy targets.

While the ground maneuvers include Emergency Response Plan (ERP) exercises, Base Defense, Search and Rescue (SAR) exercises and Firefighting exercises.
