1,298 North Sulawesi Residents Still Positive For COVID-19

MANADO - Residents of North Sulawesi (Sulut) who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 and are still being treated in hospital or in self-isolation as many as 1,298 people or 2.5 percent.

"The current cure rate is 95.2 percent or 48,626 people," Head of the P2P Division of the North Sulawesi Provincial Health Office, dr. Steaven P. Dandel, MPH in Manado, reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 22.

Data from the task force for handling COVID-19 in North Sulawesi as of March 21, 2022 at 21:33 WITA, it was recorded that 45 people had recovered from a number of regencies and cities.

Most of them came from Tomohon City, namely 16 people, Bitung City (13 people), South Bolaang Mongondow Regency (seven people) South Minahasa Regency and four people each from outside the region, while from Kotamobagu City (one person).

The accumulation of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 reached 51,085 people after adding 13 new cases.

Most of the new cases that have increased are from Manado City, namely six people, followed by North Minahasa Regency (two people) and the rest from South Minahasa Regency, Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency, and South Bolaang Mongondow Regency each.

Meanwhile, the death toll reached 1,161 people with a case fatality rate of 2.3 percent.

"Awareness of individuals and communities to obey and be disciplined in implementing the prokes with the aim of taking care of themselves, taking care of their families and taking care of others is fundamental in changing clean and healthy living behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
