The Tomb Of An 8-year-old Boy From Semarang Was Uncovered By The Police For An Autopsy, Suspected Of Being A Victim Of Sexual Harassment

SEMARANG - Police are investigating the unnatural death of an 8-year-old boy with the initials NPK, a resident of Semarang City, Central Java.

Semarang City Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Irwan Anwar said the police conducted an investigation after receiving reports of the death of the boy who was suspected of being a victim of sexual harassment.

"The victim was reportedly rushed to the hospital for help. However, it was too late," he said in Semarang as reported by Antara, Monday, March 21.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Semarang City Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Donny Lumbantoruan added that the tomb where the victim was buried had also been uncovered.

According to him, the uncovering of the grave is done together with forensic officers and they have coordinated with the victim's family.

NPK boy's body, he said, was then taken to Dr. Kariadi Semarang for an autopsy to determine the cause of death of the victim.

He emphasized that police investigators will reveal the death of NPK and take firm action against the perpetrators if it is proven that a crime has occurred.
