JAKARTA - Director of Lokataru Haris Azhar said he would be present for police questioning on Monday, March 21 if there were no obstacles.

This examination was held after he and the KontraS Coordinator, Fatia Maulidiyanti, were named suspects for alleged defamation of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

"Just want to emphasize, I will, God willing, if healthy come Monday," said Haris in a press conference that was broadcast online, Saturday, March 19.

"We haven't thought about the costume yet, but God willing, it will come," he added.

Meanwhile, Fatia Maulidiyanti's lawyer, Julius Hebrew, said Haris and his client had received a summons from the police since last night, Friday, March 19. Both will certainly attend the summons.

"For brother Haris Azhar himself at 10.00 WIB, for brother Fatiya at 14.00 WIB. This means that this is a synergistic call, simultaneously because they are together," said Julius.

Furthermore, Julius also spoke about the pretrial submission. He said that Fatia and Haris Azhar had been working in the legal corridor with clear rules.

"So whatever legal remedies guaranteed by the constitution will be taken. We will focus on the material that underlies the determination of Haris Azhar and Fatia as suspects who are not known, what their mistakes are, what are the rebuttals to the discussion, what are the rebuttals to their research, what should be the basis for stipulating this?" suspect," he said.

As previously reported, the police named Haris Azhar and Fatia as suspects for defamation of Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan confirmed that the two suspects were named.

"Both of them (Haris Azhar and Fatia, ed) have become suspects," said Endra when confirmed by reporters, Saturday, March 19.
