TANGERANG - A 6-year-old boy was reported missing in a 60-centimeter flood in Kunciran, Pinang, Tangerang City. The boy, whose name is Muhammad Zaki, disappeared because he entered a sewer or water channel.

Danru BPBD Tangerang City Supriyatna said the incident occurred on Thursday, March 17, afternoon. He explained that the victim was missing because he slipped while playing with three of his friends.

"So two of his friends saw a friend slipping, falling and missing," said Supriyatna when met at the location, Thursday, March 17, evening.

Suprityana also explained that Zaki entered the sewer when he was in the water control tub, or control tub. Suprityana estimates that the length of the control tub reaches 200 meters which empties into a swamp not far from where Zaki went missing.

"This culvert reaches the back, into the swamp behind this shophouse. It's not long, at most 200 meters," he said.

Based on VOI monitoring at the location, residents and dozens of Tangerang City BPBD officers tried to find Zaki even though the water level reached 60 centimeters.
