RIAU - The Riau Provincial Government will receive a quota of 2,000 tons of bulk oil per week from the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag). The oil must be sold at the highest retail price (HET).

"The HET of bulk oil to traders is Rp. 10,500 per liter and Rp. 11,500 per liter to buyers," said Head of the Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Micro Business (Disperindagkop UKM) Riau Province, M Taufik OH after inspecting cooking oil in a number of locations. traditional market in Pekanbaru, Antara, Wednesday, March 16.

For distribution, two companies have been appointed, namely PT PPI and PT RMI.

"Bulk oil tank cars appointed by the ministry are in Dumai, namely PT RMI and PT PPI. This afternoon, PT PPI has also sent a bulk cooking oil tank car to Pekanbaru. The distribution will be arranged by distributors appointed by the ministry and local," he said.

He added, Riau SMEs Disperindagkop together with related agencies conducted inspections to traditional markets and cooking oil distributor warehouses in Pekanbaru. The inspection was carried out to ensure the stock of basic commodities ahead of Ramadan

During the inspection, his party was also accompanied by the Riau Police Food Task Force team, Riau Bulog, Bank Indonesia, Satpol PP and other related elements. The two markets investigated were the Cik Puan Market and the Morning Market Arengka and the space warehouse on Jalan Garuda Sakti.

From the results of the inspections of the two markets, his party found that the amount of basic commodities such as cooking oil was starting to be limited. Even if they are available, there are not many.

"Information from traders, the last cooking oil came in three days ago. In a short time, it ran out immediately," he said.

In addition to cooking oil, his party also checks the price of beef. For beef prices, currently also starting to increase.

"Beef prices go up starting from Rp. 5 thousand, so currently beef is sold at a price of Rp. 140 per kg," he said.
