JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Connectivity Investigator for Military Crimes (Jampidmil) has again named a suspect in the 2013-2020 Army Housing Compulsory Savings Fund (TWP AD) corruption case.

The Head of the Center for Legal Information (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, said that one suspect had the initials KGS MMS. He is the provider of residential land for soldiers in the Nagreg area, West Java and Gandus Palembang.

“Connectivity investigators have made several summons to KGS MMS as the provider of land for soldiers' homes in the Nagrek and Gandus areas of Palembang. The suspect's status has been determined on February 23, 2022," said Ketut, Wednesday, March 16, quoted from Antara.

According to him, the suspect KGS MMS moved several times. So investigators followed the suspect from Jakarta, until finally he was arrested Tuesday (15/3) night in the Bandung area.

"After the arrests were made, they were then detained at the Salemba Rutan at the Attorney General's Office," said Ketut.

The suspect's role in this case is the provider of residential land for soldiers in Nagrek, West Java, covering an area of 40 hectares (ha) with a value of Rp. 32 billion. However, only 17.8 hectares were realized. Then for land acquisition in Palembang covering an area of 40 hectares with a value of Rp41.8 billion, nothing was realized or fictitious.

The suspect's actions have caused state financial losses based on the calculation results of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) amounting to Rp51 billion.

"The state loss based on BPKP's calculations is around Rp. 51 billion," he said.

Previously, in this case, the connectivity investigator had named two suspects in the TWP-AD corruption case. The two are Brigadier General YAK and President Director Griya Sari treasure with the initials NPP. According to Ketut, the case against KGS MMS is different from that of Brigadier General YAK and NPP.

Brigadier General YAK and NPP were suspected of placing the TWP-AD fund investment, while KGS MMS was suspected of being related to the construction of soldiers' housing.
