DENPASAR - Because he was drunk, a crew member (ABK) with the initials YS from Sumbawa, NTB was arrested by police in Denpasar, Bali. He carries an 80 cm long sword that scares the people.

"The confiscated evidence includes a sword with a length of about 80 cm," said South Denpasar Police Chief Kompol I Gede Sudyatmaja, Wednesday, March 16.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 15, at a boarding house on Jalan Pulau Moyo, South Denpasar.

At that time, the perpetrator was told by a friend named Roy that he would be attacked by crew members in Benoa. Hearing that story, the perpetrator of emotion then moved towards Benoa. The perpetrator carried a sword.

But when in Benoa, the perpetrators did not find the crew members who were said to be ganging up on their friends. The perpetrator returned to the boarding house and instead made a fuss

"So that neighbors around the boarding house are disturbed and feel afraid, because the person concerned is carrying a sharp weapon. With this incident the local community reported it to the police," he added.

The police immediately came to the location and arrested the perpetrator. The perpetrator is known to be a crew member at Benoa Harbor.

"The motive was that the perpetrator was carrying a sharp weapon that was brought from Sumbawa when he was about to come to Bali. At the time of the incident, the sharp weapon was to help his friend who was about to be ganged up. Which later if it was true that his friend was ganged up on in Benoa he would fight him with the sword he was carrying ," said Sudyatmaja.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 2 Paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law Number 12, 1951.

"The person concerned has been proven to carry a weapon in the form of a sword, where the sword is a stabbing or stabbing weapon that can injure people," he said.
