JAKARTA - The government is trying to fulfill cooking oil stocks in the midst of scarcity and rising prices that people find in the market.
Meanwhile in Jakarta, the DKI Provincial Government through the BUMD Food Station Tjipinang Jaya will hold a market operation or a low-cost market that sells cooking oil at affordable prices.
President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, Pamrihadi Wiraryo, revealed that his party will hold market operations in each kelurahan next week.
"We conduct market operations or low-cost markets in urban villages, so that people can directly get cooking oil at a price of Rp. 14,000 during market operations in these urban villages," said Pamrihadi in a Youtube broadcast of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Wednesday, March 16.
Pamrihadi claims that his party has sufficient stock to maintain the availability of cooking oil for Jakarta residents.
Currently, Food Station has 40 thousand liters of cooking oil. However, to maintain the resilience of its supply, the Food Station will distribute 1,000 to 2,000 liters of cooking oil at each market operation location.
"So far, the Food Station has stock and we distribute this stock to people who need it in market operations," said Pamrihadi.
As is known, the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) has issued a number of policies to reduce the spike in cooking oil prices in the January-February 2022 period.
These policies range from the highest retail price (HET) to the domestic market obligation (DMO) and domestic price obligation (DPO) policies.
