Walkot Bima Arya Highlights 6 Road Sections Damaged By The Bogor-Sukabumi Double Railroad

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto highlighted the failed promise to repair six road sections in the South Bogor District by the contractor for the construction of the Bogor-Sukabumi double track which was affected during the project.

Bima Arya also carried out an inspection of the damaged Cipaku Highway affected by the project, Tuesday afternoon, and held a dialogue with sub-district officials and representatives of residents.

"In December 2021 there was an agreement between Community Empowerment Institutions (LPM) in South Bogor. There is an agreement to fix not only patchy, but also permanent. To this day we have not seen that," said Bima Arya as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 15.

Bima follows the damaged road from Batutulis Station to the bottom of the train line that hangs between the rivers in the station area.

According to ANTARA's observations, who joined the survey group at the site, the road descending sideways with cliffs, while trucks transporting rail construction materials passed almost every day during the project, causing damage to the asphalt on Jalan Raya Cipaku.

Not to mention, the burden of public vehicle traffic because the location of the rail construction is also in a densely populated area, as well as access to city public transportation (angkot) to the Bogor Regency border.

The Mayor of Bogor saw the reality of road repairs that had not been fulfilled by the contractor companies or development implementers, namely Adhi Karya and Nindya Karya.

In fact, Bima Arya has sent a letter of request for road repair due to the impact of the Bogor-Sukabumi double rail work and the construction of a pedestrian bridge (JPO) to the West Java Regional Railway Engineering Center in October 2021.

This is because, in the agreement between LPMs throughout South Bogor, the two contractors also promised to provide solutions for access roads for residents who were isolated due to the splitting of the double track before the construction of the rails was completed.

The six roads are Jalan Raya Cipaku, Jalan Dreded, Jalan Layungsari, Jalan Empang, Jalan Pahlawan and Jalan Gunung Gadung which spans the South Bogor District.

Meanwhile, for JPOs in RW 08 and RW 09, Batutulis Village, RW 03 and RW 17, Cipaku Village, and RW 05, Genteng Village.

Moreover, Bima said, there was news that the Bogor-Sukabumi train series would begin operational trials on March 28, 20222.

"We want to coordinate. Moreover, at the end of March the trial starts, it should be accompanied by socialization and initial commitments, this supporting infrastructure such as damaged roads must be repaired first and JPO for citizen access," said Bima.
