Komnas HAM Broadcasts CCTV From Various Angles In Pursuit Of Sunardi, Speeding On Small Streets

JAKARTA - The clock on CCTV shows 21:22 WIB, in a small lane in Sukoharjo, Central Java. When the streets were still busy and the lanes could only fit two vehicles, a double cabin car sped up.

It was a CCTV recording that was replayed by the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) when it revealed the video of the arrest of the terrorist suspect, Doctor Sunardi, in Sukoharjo, Central Java.

This CCTV belongs to the community and has succeeded in capturing the pursuit of the suspected terrorist Sunardi from various angles. CCTV is also taken from various points.

Thanks to this, it was revealed that there had indeed been warning shots up to nine shots at Sunardi.

"Given a shot in the air (warning shot, ed) it didn't stop. The one on the left (passenger area, ed) didn't stop shooting at the front either, then shooting the hand didn't stop, shooting the shoulder didn't stop, shooting at the body didn't stop and finally just hit," said Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam, Tuesday, March 15. "We showed everything in the process, including the chronology of the shots. So there were nine shots, nine shots, one time below," he continued. with Sunardi driving a double cabin out of a road. At that time, there were no members of Densus 88 because they were still making sure the driver in the car was really their target.

"This is starting to be followed, earlier we explained in some detail that at this point there were two people in the double cabin who had already entered there. That's what the members were," said Anam. He said Sunardi was driving his car at high speed. Furthermore, the officer who had climbed into the back of the car asked Sunardi to stop his vehicle but what happened was the opposite. Sunardi, continued Anam, ignored the order so Densus 88 gave a warning shot. "These are two police officers. So after being warned, yes, they were told to stop and so on. They were warned to stop, they were intercepted by the officers, after that they still (walked)," he explained, pointing to the video shown on the projector. After getting off the warning, it was shown that he was a policeman who was still walking. That's where the first collision occurred. Well, here, the officer who got out of the Innova officer's car got into the cabin," added Anam. After this incident, a chase was inevitable between Sunardi and Densus 88. Anam said that Sunardi's car had driven to the side of the road. In fact, the double cabin car was hit by the officer's car, causing sparks to appear. "Indi was squeezed but still he was told to stop, he didn't want to," he said. "This is the boundary of this asphalt road, the soil is like on the shoulder of the road on a toll road. This is something that is clearer but doesn't want to stop. This then starts to spread until sparks appear. So that's the chase process," Anam added. Anam then said that Sunardi also didn't want to stop when Densus 88 shot him. Prior to that, the member who was going to arrest had actually shown an arrest warrant.
