The Cost Of Formula E Circuit Development Swells, PAN Says It's Still Expensive For The Mandalika MotoGP Track

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the DKI DPRD from the PAN faction, Zita Anjani, views the increasing cost of building the Formula E circuit as a natural thing.

In this case, PT Jakarta Propertindo added Rp10 billion in costs when construction was underway. Thus, the current budget for the construction of the circuit, as acknowledged by Jakpro, is Rp. 60 billion.

"I think the provincial government and the parties concerned have explained about the increased budget. There is nothing strange," Zita said in a short message, Friday, March 11.

Moreover, said the son of the General Chairman of PAN Zulkifli Hasan, the cost of constructing the Formula E circuit is still far more efficient than the budget for the construction of the MotoGP track in Mandalika.

Then, the budget used for the construction of the circuit is not sourced from the DKI Regional Budget, but the work plan and budget (RKA) funded by the company PT Jakpro as the BUMD that organizes Formula E.

"If you want to look more broadly, the budget for the construction of the Formula E circuit is not much compared to the construction of other circuits. For example, the Mandalika circuit with a length of 4.31 kilometers costs Rp. 950 billion. Formula E, which is 2.4 kilometers long, is only Rp. 60 billion. Of course it is more thrifty," explained Zita.

For information, the cost of building a Formula E circuit has swelled. PT Jakpro added a budget of Rp10 billion to PT Jaya Konstruksi, which is working on the construction of the track. This fee is budgeted from Jakpro company funds

Now, the cost of constructing the Formula E circuit is IDR 60 billion from the previous IDR 50 billion. This is due to additional work that is not included in the predictions of Jakpro and Jaya Konstruksi, namely hardening the soil which is still soft.

"There are jobs that can be seen, some are unseen (not visible). For example, how many meters of soft soil is there in this soil, how soft is it. That's unseen. So, what is unseen is ultimately a priority, it is estimated. It turns out that what is unseen is not it looks heavier," said the person in charge of Formula E construction at PT Jaya Konstruksi, Ari Wibowo some time ago.
