Hundreds Of Demo Truck Drivers, Traffic Access On Jalan A. Yani Surabaya Congested

SURABAYA - Jalan A. Yani Surabaya is jammed with traffic. This traffic jam occurred because of a demonstration by hundreds of truck drivers in front of the East Java Office of Transportation (Dishub).

"But road users are still passing, even though they are not as smooth as before," said Head of Traffic at the Surabaya Police AKBP Teddy Candra, Friday, March 11.

Teddy said that his party had implemented traffic engineering to protect the mass of truck driver demonstrations. The mass action vehicles arriving through the Waru Roundabout in front of Cito Mall, will be directed to the far left lane, which is through Jalan Frontage A Yani, Gayungan, Surabaya.

The crowd will be localized along Jalan Frontage A Yani, up to the front of the East Java Transportation Agency office building. "We are directed to the leftmost lane. So we only use the frontage so that other road users can still pass," said Teddy.

Monitoring at the location, police tactical vehicles are on standby along the road from Cito Mall to the front of the East Java Dishub Office Building. Meanwhile, the monitoring of traffic flow on the main road was monitored smoothly even though it was slowing down.

Dozens of trucks from the mass of driver action have started to enter the frontage road. As long as trucks arrive to the East Java Transportation Agency, public vehicles can pass as usual.

Later, if the mass of trucks began to increase to cover the road. Public motorists will be diverted to use the main lane, Jalan A Yani, which consists of three lanes.
