BNN Kaltara Fails Circulation Of 48.30 Grams Of Narcotics Through Expeditionary Services

KALTARA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of North Kalimantan Province managed to thwart the illicit trafficking of 48.30 grams of methamphetamine from an expedition service in Nunukan on January 10, 2022.

"Information from the methamphetamine community was sent from Nunukan via the J&T expedition service, through that we cooperate with J&T Nunukan," said the Head of the Kaltara BNN through the Head of the Eradication Division AKBP Deden Andriana in Tarakan, Antara, Thursday, March 10.

The perpetrator of the delivery of a package of goods containing one pack of methamphetamine with the aim of going from Nunukan to Sinjai Regency, South Sulawesi Province, used an expedition service to send goods. Before the suspected shabu had arrived, the Kaltara BNN was already aware of it.

"It's just that when the chase was carried out, it was suspected that someone who had sent methamphetamine from Nunukan allegedly fled to Malaysia. The person concerned is no longer in Kaltara, it is possible to escape to Tawau," said Deden.

Since no one has yet been held responsible for the package containing the crystal methamphetamine, the BNN Kaltara apparatus has finally controlled the delivery to South Sulawesi.

Before leaving, J&T Nunukan had coordinated with J&T in Sinjai Regency so that the recipient of the package came to pick up the package from Nunukan.

BNN Kaltara's efforts paid off when someone came to pick up the package at J&T, Sinjai Regency. Not wanting to waste time, someone known to AMR was arrested by the Kaltara BNN apparatus.

"Because we haven't found the recipient, we control the delivery to Sinjai Regency, South Sulawesi, we set out to arrest the recipient of the goods," said Deden.

Subsequently, the crystal methamphetamine was destroyed, but not as much as 48.30 grams because some of it was set aside for trial and laboratory evidence. "It has been reduced for narcotics laboratories and set aside for trials, 46.58 grams were destroyed," said Deden.
