JAKARTA - Wednesday 9 March is celebrated as National Music Day. The establishment of the National Music Day began in 2013 at the suggestion of the Association of Indonesian Singing Artists, Creators and Recording Musicians (PAPPRI). The date was chosen to honor Wage Rudolf Supratman, the national hero who created the national anthem Indonesia Raya, who was born on March 9, 1923.

Coinciding with this year's National Music Day, Fadli Zon received 6 awards from the World Record Museum - Indonesia MURI Records for the collector and initiator category. The five categories of MURI as collectors are: Indonesia's Largest Vinyl (vinyl) Collector with 10,020 pcs, Indonesian Gramophone Collector with 1,050 pcs, Plate Collector of Glass Stamps, Proof Netherlands Indies Ratu Wilhelmina Series 1941 with the highest nominal of 25 Gulden; Indonesian Stamps Proof Collector with an Endorsement Signature for the Most Print of 270 pcs, the Most Blencong Collector (Lighting/Lights in Wayang Kulit Performances) 50 pcs.

In addition to receiving five MURI records as collectors, Fadli Zon also received one World-Indonesian Record for the Initiator category as the First Indonesian to Receive a Gold Medal in the Picture Postcard Philatelic Collection Class at the World Philatelic Exhibition.

However, for the songs of foreign musicians, he only became an antique (collectible item), such as jazz music era of the 1920s and 1930s. The MURI Record was given symbolically by the MURI Committee and Jaya Suprana. Founder of MURI Indonesia, Jaya Suprana delivered his speech virtually. He was grateful for Fadli Zon's seriousness in collecting various Indonesian cultural objects. “I hope that Fadli Zon's efforts in collecting antiques and culture can be imitated by a number of other parties. Let's compete in doing good."

The award ceremony was held simply at Fadli Zon Creative House, Bumi Cimanggis Indah Blok B1 no.9, Depok. A number of collections of stamps and LPs were also exhibited at the event. Also present were several friends including; Ahmad Dhani, Neno Warisman, Komeng, Mulan Jameela, Rian dmasiv, Yuddy Chrisnandi, Ki Djatnika, Jelly Tobing, Otte Abadi and other musicians as well as Indonesian record collectors.

The event closed with a musical performance of Otte and the old friends. The series of events were held while adhering to health protocol standards. With the addition of 6 Muri Records received today, Fadli Zon's MURI Records now number 36 MURI Records in various categories.
