LUBUKBASUNG - The Resort Police (Polres) of Agam, West Sumatra, is monitoring the availability of cooking oil in distributor warehouses in order to prevent oil shortages due to stockpiling by irresponsible persons, Tuesday, March 8.

The Head of the Agam Police, AKBP Dwi Nur Setiawan, accompanied by the Head of Public Relations of the Agam Police, AKP Nurdin, said the monitoring involved the Agam Police Sat Binmas which was led directly by the Head of the Agam Police Binmas Unit, AKP Azwir Yani.

"Personnel are on dialogical patrols to monitor the availability of cooking oil in distributor warehouses in the Lubukbasung Garagahan Union Market and Lubukbasung Old Market," Setiawan said as quoted by Antara.

He added that the monitoring was to ensure the availability of cooking oil in the area and after that to prevent unreasonable price increases in the market due to hoarding.

"Personnel records the availability of cooking oil in each warehouse, brand and price per liter," he said.

He said the activity was in the framework of prevention or prevention, so that there would not be a buildup of cooking oil that could harm residents in the jurisdiction of the Agam Police.
