MAKASSAR - The Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar, South Sulawesi, is still enforcing rules on the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and antigens for people who will use flight services.

Stakeholder Relations Manager Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar, Iwan Risdianto, said that his party was still using the old rules for flights because the new rules would still be socialized.

"Today, we are still using the PCR and antigen swab rules for people who will use flight services," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

He stated that he had just received a regulation in the form of a Circular (SE) from the COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas).

According to Iwan, the rules that have been issued by the COVID-19 Task Force will still be coordinated with all other stakeholders, while socializing the circular letter to the public.

"We will socialize the rules from the Task Force to the community and as soon as possible we will also coordinate with other stakeholders," said Iwan.

The previous rule that is still in effect today is that passengers must show a vaccine card for the first dose plus a 3 x 24 hour PCR rapid test (RT) or a vaccine card for the second dose plus an RT antigen for a duration of 1 x 24 hours.

"For prospective passengers who will fly, they must show their vaccine cards, both doses one and two. If it is complete, just additional antigen is enough," he said.
