Rain Accompanied By Strong Winds In Jakarta Causes 8 Trees To Fall, 1 House Is Affected

JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI Jakarta Province recorded as many as 8 trees were uprooted due to rain accompanied by strong winds this afternoon.

It was recorded that one house was crushed by a fallen tree on Jalan Kalisari, Kalisari Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta. Luckily there were no victims in the incident.

"The latest information on the incident of a fallen tree, 1 resident's house affected facilities," wrote a statement from the DKI Jakarta BPBD, Tuesday, March 8.

In addition, a fallen tree on Jalan Kelapa Dua Wetan, Kelapa Dua Wetan Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta also hit the PLN cable that was near the tree.

Six other fallen trees are also in East Jakarta. These include Jalan Pule, Rambutan Village, Ciracas District; RA Fadillah Street, Cijantung Village, Pasar Rebo District; Ali Street, Cipayung Village, Cipayung District.

Then, Jalan Kalimalang, Pondok Bambu Village, Duren Sawit District; Jalan Raya Kiwi, Pekayon Village, Pasar Rebo District; and Jalan Bina Marga, Cipayung Village, Cipayung District.

"The situation of the fallen tree is in the process of handling the Fire, Dishut, PLN, BPBD, PPSU, Binmas, and Satpol PP," wrote a statement from the DKI BPBD.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds is predicted to still occur in South Jakarta, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and East Jakarta until 20.30 WIB.
