KPK Deposits Rp1.1 Billion To The State Treasury From Convicted Former Acting Head Of PUPR Muara Enim Ramlan Suryadi

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has deposited Rp1.1 billion in the state treasury from the replacement money for the former Acting Head of the Muara Enim Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, Ramlan Suryadi.

Ramlan is a convict in a bribery case related to projects at the PUPR Office in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra.

"Execution Prosecutor Andry Prihandono has deposited Rp1.1 billion in replacement money from the convict Ramlan Suryadi in the state treasury," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri, quoted by Antara, Monday, March 7.

There is also the obligation to pay the replacement money based on the Corruption Court's decision at the Palembang District Court Number: 18/Pid.Sus-TPK/2020/PN.Plg dated January 19, 2021.

Ali said the convict Ramlan paid the replacement money in 5 installments.

He conveyed that the execution prosecutor's team was still collecting fines and compensation from corruption convicts so that the goal of "asset recovery" or the recovery of assets resulting from corruption and a deterrent effect could be achieved.

Ramlan has been sentenced to 4 years in prison and a fine of IDR 200 million subsidiary to 6 months in prison by the Panel of Judges at the Palembang Corruption Court on January 19, 2021.

Ramlan was proven to have received bribes of IDR1.1 billion related to 16 work packages in Muara Enim Regency from Robi Okta Fahlevi, who is a private party.
