8 Russian Missiles Hit The Airport In Vinnytsia, President Zelensky: Totally Destroyed!

JAKARTA - Russia continues to bombard Ukraine from all sides. Most recently, Russia has just succeeded in destroying a civilian airport in Vinnytsia, Central Ukraine, Sunday local time.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia sent a barrage of missiles to this airport at once. And he just received news that eight rockets sent by Russia had completely damaged the airport.

"Eight rockets... The airport was completely destroyed," Volodymyr Zelensky was quoted as saying by The Moscow Times, Sunday, March 6.

The Russian attack did target many cities and air bases in Ukraine. These cities were bombed, shelled or pounded with ballistic missiles.

But Vinnytsia is in the western region of central Ukraine. Far from the borders of Russia and Belarus, in a region where such attacks are rare.

"Our peaceful Vinnytsia, a city that has never threatened Russia in any way," Zelensky said.

Zelensky said the attack was brutal. And Russia continues to destroy Ukraine's infrastructure.

Zelensky again called on Western countries to immediately impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine to prevent more Russian attacks.

“We repeat every day: close the sky over Ukraine. Close to all Russian missiles, to Russian warplanes, to all their terrorists," he pleaded.

"Otherwise, if you don't give us at least a plane so we can protect ourselves, there's only one thing to conclude; you want us to be killed very slowly."

Previously, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg had said that if all allies agreed, imposing a no-fly zone would be tantamount to triggering a deeper conflict with Russia.

"If we do that, we will end up with something that could end in a full-fledged war in Europe, involving more countries and causing more human suffering," Stoltenberg said.

Stoltenberg said all the allies had agreed to strengthen deterrence and defense on land, in the air and at sea. Allies from North America and Europe have sent thousands more troops to the east of the Alliance.

"We will continue to do what is necessary to protect and defend every inch of NATO territory," he said.

"NATO is a defensive Alliance. Our core task is to keep our thirty countries safe,"
