PASURUAN - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa ensured the distribution of bulk cooking oil for traders, especially in Pasuruan City, went smoothly and on target.
"This time the distribution process is as much as 6 tons of bulk cooking oil for traders," he said while reviewing the distribution process at the Big Market in Pasuruan City, East Java, Friday, March 4.
Each trader, he said, was given a quota of 20 kilograms and asked to sell according to the Highest Retail Price (HET).
"The price per liter of the tank is Rp. 10,500, and traders are expected to sell according to the HET, which is Rp. 11,500 per liter," said the number one person in the East Java Provincial Government.
Meanwhile, the East Java Provincial Government is currently focusing on pouring packaged cooking oil to traders in all regencies/cities in the local area.
The first phase was distributed to 17 regions on Thursday (3/3) night, including Banyuwangi, Bojonegoro, Ngawi and several other areas.
The next phase will be sent to a number of regions and is expected to reach 38 districts/cities.
"This is part of the efforts of various parties with the hope that people will have no trouble getting cooking oil for daily consumption," he said.
Khofifah hopes that the cooking oil distributed by the East Java Provincial Government together with the Ministry of Trade, RNI and PPI can be a stimulus for traditional traders and stabilize supply and prices.
"While cooking oil is still in the process of stabilizing its distribution so that it runs smoothly, we ask the regents/mayors to continue holding cooking oil operations," he said.
In front of people queuing for cooking oil, Governor Khofifah said that in the next few days the government subsidized cooking oil stock will come again.
The amount, he continued, was around 4,000 tons which came on March 9, 2022 and is expected to be able to meet the needs of the wider community.
"With the arrival of cooking oil, hopefully the needs of the community can be met soon," said Khofifah.
