Cartenz Peace Task Force Sends Pig Seeds To Yahukimo Residents By Plane

JAKARTA - The Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force continues to carry out humanitarian operations for Papuans. This time, the task force provided assistance to pig farmers in Yahukimo, in the form of 30 pigs on Wednesday, March 2.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo said the piglets were sent using a Twin Otter 300 type cargo plane belonging to the Rimbun Air airline to Yahukimo.

"The pig's seeds were purchased from one of the pig breeders assisted by the Jayapura Provincial Office of Work Training Center and their health is guaranteed," said Dedi in a statement received by the editors, Wednesday, March 2, evening.

Dedi also explained that the assistance of 30 pig breeds was handed over in stages to pig farmers who really have the ability to develop pig farms in Yahukimo Regency.

He also hopes that the pig farming community will have the ability to develop pig breeding farms independently so that in the future, the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force in providing assistance will no longer provide assistance for pig seeds. This is because pig breeders in Yahukimo are able to produce pig seeds independently.

"In the future, if the Cartenz Damai Ops Task Force wants to provide assistance to the people of Yahukimo, it will not be assistance for pig breeds anymore, but other assistance related to the development of pigs. Such as assistance in building a pigsty, building a Skills Training Center for raising pigs, constructing water wells and other assistance that can support the development of pig farms in the Yahukimo area," he said.
