Golkar Politician Azis Samual Becomes The First Suspect In The Beating Of KNPI Chairman Haris

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has named Golkar politician Azis Samual as a suspect in the case of beating the chairman of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI), Haris Pertama. The determination of the suspect is based on the results of the examination and the title of the case.

"The results of the investigation by investigators have determined AS (Azis Samual, ed) as a suspect," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Wednesday, March 2.

The involvement of Azis Samual in this case is known based on the statements of other suspects who have been arrested. So, an examination was carried out and finally determined him as a suspect.

"The results of the examination of the five people (suspects, ed) then developed into the summons of the US," said Zulpan.

Adding that the Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said that the results of the examination also revealed the role of Azis Samual. He is called the giver of the order to gang up on Haris the First.

"His role is that he is suspected of having ordered the executioners to carry out beatings," said Tubagus.

Thus, Azis Samual is suspected of being under Article 55 to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 170 of the Criminal Code. For information, Haris Pertama, became a victim of beatings. The perpetrators are said to be three unidentified people, on Monday, February 21.

According to reports, the beating began when Haris was about to eat at the Garuda restaurant, Cikini, Central Jakarta. However, suddenly three unknown people appeared who immediately molested him. As a result of the beating, Haris suffered a wound on his forehead.

In handling this case, the police have arrested four suspects. They had the initials MS, JT, SS, and Irfan.

With four suspects arrested, the police only need to apprehend one more who is still at large. He was named Harvei who acted as the executor.
