JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police will hold Keselamatan Jaya Operation 2022. In which, the operation will target traffic rule violators.

"The first target for Keselamatan Jaya Operation in 2022 is security, safety, order, and smooth traffic," said Head of Operation Bureau of Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Marsudianto, Tuesday, March 1.

Operation Keselamatan Jaya will last for two weeks starting on March 1. Thousands of joint personnel will be deployed in the operation.

"Keselamatan Jaya Ops in 2022 involves 3,164 personnel consisting of 3,024 Polri personnel, 80 TNI personnel, and 30 Dishub personnel, 30 Satpol PP," he said.

Then, Keselamatan Jaya Operation will also oversee the implementation of health protocols (prokes) in tourist attractions and other public spaces. The goal is to suppress the spread of COVID-19, the Omicron variant.

"The second ops target is the handling of COVID-19 which is carried out through preemptive efforts including socialization of health care discipline and preventive efforts in the form of health care patrols and distribution of masks to places prone to crowds such as stations, terminals, tourist attractions, and other public facilities," said Marsudianto.

On the other hand, Marsudianto also asked his staff to act humanely. So, people who violate will receive a warning and eventually obey the rules.
